Project scope
• Create new bath within floorplan redesign project
Challenges
• To create a fully functional groundfloor bath where none existed before
Solution
• Install new plumbing and electrical systems.
• Create "clipped corner" to left of sink to add interest, open room, improve traffic flow; and mirror clipped corner on tiled shower stall, opposite
• Use tumbled travertine floor tile, set on the diamond, integrated with tile used in shower area
• Add up-to-date Craftsman-style Kohler fixtures, including pedestal sink and low-flow toilet, consistent with overall architectural style of home
Outcome
• Handsome, practical Craftsman-style bath combines functionality and beauty in a more convenient location within new floorplan
