Our second floor addition was a total replacement of the old attic (including a new roof) with two new bedrooms and a bath connected by a lovely staircase from the first floor. Peter and David Michelson and their crew were thorough, professional and honest with us throughout the entire project. During the estimation stage, Peter worked with us and our architect in planning the project, helping us keep within our budget. He was very clear about what happens when you have unexpected surprises along the way (our home was built in 1910 – you know we had surprises!) in terms of how they would be handled, and the cost.

Throughout construction they kept in frequent contact with us, letting us know what was being done, and welcoming us when we stopped by to look. For the six months that the project took, somebody was at the house almost every day working. Their crew did the roof and other framing, and did a great job with a very intricate roofline. Their finish work was great – the new upstairs is the only part of the house that's square! The materials and quality of work were excellent and completed as promised. We recommend them highly.
